Oh to be the Pioneer Woman!

Confession time:
I secretly wish I were a cowgirl! Not because I am "country" in any way, shape, form, or fashion: but because, I ADORE horses. And I have always dreamed of having one. Early in our marriage, Gabe and I rented a home on a horse ranch. And we got to see these beautiful creatures every day out our window.
That place had its problems, (including one very strange greenhouse keeper, who, I swear, was peddling more than plants out of his house right next to ours), but I do miss and have fond memories of that place- for sure!
We have a "Dream Window" in our house, which is a designated wall where we post our dreams for our family, and personally. If you look real close at the top of the map, you'll see

I happened upon this blog recently of a woman called Ree, which I have posted about before: but I just went to the site again this morning, and was almost in tears when looking at what she sees out of her window every day. I had to share...

This is what God thinks of horses: (This is Him talking...)

Job 39:19 "Do you give the horse his strength or clothe his neck with a flowing mane?20 Do you make him leap like a locust, striking terror with his proud snorting? 21 He paws fiercely, rejoicing in his strength, and charges into the fray. 22 He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; he does not shy away from the sword. 23 The quiver rattles against his side, along with the flashing spear and lance. 24 In frenzied excitement he eats up the ground; he cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds. 25 At the blast of the trumpet he snorts, 'Aha!' He catches the scent of battle from afar, the shout of commanders and the battle cry.

A couple of PICS

29 degrees + house heater = sick kids...
Not much going on here because of that.
Just wanted to post a couple of pics my friend Jenna took. She's a great photog. and we had such a blast together the other day. Counting down the days till I turn 34!!! Dang. I have a week left of 33. I will enjoy it to the utmost!

Vivia says:

Vivs has been plagued, as of late, with a cold. All this goings up and down of the weather tends to reek havoc on the immune system. I told her that as long as she's sick we can't be out and about. She tends to acquire "Cabin Fever" as much as her mother- go figure. So, she wakes up this morning, comes in my room ans says...
"Momma, my coughings are gone, and my bless yous are gone! What are we gonna do today?"

Sold-out WoRLD TOUR!

Vivia's most recent performance was at the Target store in Sanford, FL. For those of you that missed the sell-out show, here is a snippet...

If you turn it up loud enough, you can hear the Hannah Montana song in the background that is playing on the little microphone that she was hearing for the first time. The profound lyrics are as follows:

Life's what you make it
So lets make it rock
Life's what you make it
So come on come on (everybody now)

Look'it what I found...

Dino Digging and Animal Spotting

Saturday brought yet another day of dino digging and animal spotting with friends. It was a cold Florida day~ so we bundled up in our sweaters, and hats. Vivia made a giraffe mask while we waited for our friends to arrive. And we saw tigers and bats, and birds- oh my! We also saw these HUGE condors building a nest on the ground~ they were so cool! I think my Vivs is another animal lover, like her mum. :) Maybe I'll go work for the Steve Martin bird show that is there at the Animal Kingdom, once my kiddos are a little older. I miss those days.
Once they arrived, we went to have a little picnic lunch, and then onto a dinosaur bones digging excursion. Miles and Vivia made sand angels while digging! Then, had to end the day with a Safari!
