Oh to be the Pioneer Woman!
Confession time:
I secretly wish I were a cowgirl! Not because I am "country" in any way, shape, form, or fashion: but because, I ADORE horses. And I have always dreamed of having one. Early in our marriage, Gabe and I rented a home on a horse ranch. And we got to see these beautiful creatures every day out our window.
That place had its problems, (including one very strange greenhouse keeper, who, I swear, was peddling more than plants out of his house right next to ours), but I do miss and have fond memories of that place- for sure!
We have a "Dream Window" in our house, which is a designated wall where we post our dreams for our family, and personally. If you look real close at the top of the map, you'll see
I happened upon this blog recently of a woman called Ree, which I have posted about before: but I just went to the site again this morning, and was almost in tears when looking at what she sees out of her window every day. I had to share...
This is what God thinks of horses: (This is Him talking...)
Job 39:19 "Do you give the horse his strength or clothe his neck with a flowing mane?20 Do you make him leap like a locust, striking terror with his proud snorting? 21 He paws fiercely, rejoicing in his strength, and charges into the fray. 22 He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; he does not shy away from the sword. 23 The quiver rattles against his side, along with the flashing spear and lance. 24 In frenzied excitement he eats up the ground; he cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds. 25 At the blast of the trumpet he snorts, 'Aha!' He catches the scent of battle from afar, the shout of commanders and the battle cry.

I love your dream board. We too have one but not nearly as pretty :)
And for the record...I'd come and help you organize anytime! I absolutely love it :)
i *love* the idea of a dream board! i have an inspiration board of my own, but i can see a dream board coming in quite handy :)
I love your dream board too.
I grew up around horses. My grandfather and uncle raced them.
I grew up in a house right behind my grandparents which was surrounded by horse pasture and horses.
My mom and dad still own one of the horses. They are amazing.
Sorry, I have to share this story.
This is such a funny story. We use to be a little mean to my little sister and one day (She was probably 5) We dared her to sit on the horse without a saddle. My twin and I took horse feed and ran with the feed. WELL...The horse chased us with my 5 yr. old little sister holding on for dear life. She was so so scared. She was crying and had her arms wrapped so tight.
Needless to say, she did not get hurt. Thankfully.
Anyway, It was amazing being raised around them.
